Resources for Recovery

Quite possibly the scariest thing that someone can do is admit to themselves and others they need help. Many of us believe this is a sign of weakness. Others don't believe they are worth the effort. When you immerse yourself in recovery communities you without fail find countless people who are glad you did.

Below is a list of resources for various paths. Some people choose a single path while others blend the resources from multiple groups. We may not find the best fit at first. What is important is that it is understood we are worth the effort and to keep looking.

Are concerned for a friend or loved one? This does get a little tricky unfortunately. The first thing is to take care of yourself both physically and mentally. If you've ever flown on a plane, in the event of an emergency they tell you to put on your own oxygen mask first. You can't help anyone else if you're passed out yourself. If you are ready to talk to a friend or a loved one about their use, click here for suggestions on how to approach the situation.
